A Girl Like Me

This is a video based on the Brown v. The Board of education (conducted by Dr. Kenneth Cole) experiment of dolls. It was shot by a young girl who was 16 at the time, Kiri Davis, and also went into the self hate and racism with topics such as hair, skin, and generational taboos. The film is 7mins long and was shot in 2005 by the Reel Works Teen Filmaking. Its posted on youtube by www.mediathatmattersfest.org. Its an impressive documentary that I used several times to illustrate points in various character ed classes I taught to teens. Enjoy...its easy to watch this all the way through......................peace.
