THERE'S GONNA BE ALOT OF BLOOD SPILLED
It all started back in 2003. Who knew a little book like The Walking Dead would become a powerhouse in comics, tv and pop culture. But here we are, and while we all must wait until July for TWD 100 to drop, we are getting sneak peaks into what promises to be Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard's most shocking, disturbing, and chilling story to date. Also to mark this tremendous achievement, there are going to be 9 variant covers (gotta be a record) all done by some of comics most well respected superstar artist. The artist line up is Frank Quietly, Todd McFarlane, Ryan Ottley, Brian Hitch, Mark Silvestri, and Sean Phillips. The major question on everyone's mind I'm sure is who will survive in the aftermath. I don't wanna stroke the pony too much trying to figure this out (cause I will go nuts) so I won't even try it. What do you think of this epic mile stone? Will it be as big as the climax at the prison? Check out the break down of the covers below and comment. Peace!!!!
Ryan Ottley's cover. Above, Michonne is battling a zombie. Not the final colors but it is pure dope still. Below is the original.
Here is a different variant of the opening picture on this post with Charlie Adlard's did. It sticks to the something to fear theme in the covers starting with the most recent issue 97. I wanna know if this is a group or if it's one person being depicted. Also is it Ricks people that have something to fear or is it everyone else who should fear them? Hmmmm....
Absolutely my favorite of the released ones right now. Expertedly drafted to perfection by Marc Silvestri. Does this one elude to the fact that it will be Rick and Michonne against the world? Will they be all that's left?
